Kevin Grawer Selected as New Principal at MRH High School
After thirteen years as principal of MRH High School, Patrick McEvoy is moving on to a new school. Starting this summer he will become the new principal at Bayless High School.
Citing a need for new challenges – and a long list of accomplishments – Mr. McEvoy writes, "As we complete another MSIP Cycle, I feel now is the time for me to move on with my career and turn over leadership of the school to another." The Board, administration, and staff of MRH High School will certainly miss his leadership, and wish him the best in his new role.
In a letter to high school families, Superintendent Linda Henke announced the selection of Kevin Grawer as the new principal. "I believe Mr. Grawer is best suited to continue the progress we've seen over the years and move our high school to the next level."
Mr. Grawer is completing his first year at MRH serving as dean of students. Prior to that, he served as the assistant principal of Hancock Elementary since 2005. He also has nine years experience teaching high school (Spanish) and coaching (basketball and baseball). Mr. Grawer holds an M.A. in teaching from Webster University and he earned his Missouri Principal's Certificate for K-12 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
We look forward to the coming years with Mr. Grawer at the helm.
