Seedfolks:
An Interactive, Collaborative Webquest

Your community garden plot should contain all of the following items:
a symbolic representation of your character’s nationality
a symbolic representation of your character’s personality
a symbolic representation of the vegetable being planted
any other appropriate garden items that fit your garden plot
a planned layout, representative of your character
a key or some sort of labeling of items

Step One:

Each person in your team is to select one of the following positions.  A job
description is included.  When making the selections, think about your personal
    strengths and learning styles.

Artist/
Materials Manager
Your job is to collect and return any required materials.  Also, you will do the sketching, drawing, etc. as the other members of your team supply information.
Web Researcher/
Recorder
Your job is to record  team decisions and progress when required.  Also, you will use the resources (found below) to locate pertinent information to assist the artist.
Your job is to make sure all information on your garden plot is accurate in relation to the novel.  Also, you will provide any required information to the artist or web researcher about your character.
Literature Expert/
Checker
Please note:  All members of the team are expected to contribute in each area.  The person in charge of each area will make the final decisions.
Step Two:

Once each team member has selected a job, you should begin planning and researching your own individual part.  It is vital to communicate with each other:  the web researcher needs information from the literature expert before
s/he actually does any research, while the artist needs information from the web researcher before s/he begins designing the garden plot.  You will have a limited amount of time, so use it wisely!

Here are several resources that will be of help.

Step Three:

After all information has been researched and communicated within the team, and a rough draft has been sketched, a final copy on the supplied paper must be created.  This, too, should be broken into tasks:  1) a sketcher, who will draw the symbols or pictures, 2) a color expert, who will add appropriate, symbolic colors to the garden plot, and 3) a writer, who will create the key or labels for the final product.
